Soon though, all of Luo Yu’s rambling vanished into thin air as the pork hock landed on the table.

“I see. My cousin is well known, so it’s only natural many people know her.” Jiang Ruohua politely gave him an excuse, helping him out of his awkwardness. “Do you happen to know if my cousin has been doing well recently?”

“Huh…” Luo Yu held his head up with his hand, swaying slightly. “Ah, my… No, I mean, Miss Jiang is… probably just fine.”

Their relationship didn’t seem too friendly either, almost like they were forced to work together. Luo Yu constantly complained about the companion, who simply didn’t care.

“Care to share some specifics?” Jiang Ruohua asked, leaning in a bit.

“I have no idea!” Luo Yu blurted out. “No idea why they broke up all of a sudden! I was completely shocked too! No clue what Luo Zhengyu was even thinking! It’s such a hassle—breaking off the engagement right now was a huge mistake!”

“You’re useless!” Luo Yu burst out loud, right in front of Jiang Ruohua, clearly referring to the system. “Can’t you help with anything? You call yourself a system?”
